I created this guide for use in my elementary literature classes. Its purpose is to equip my students with the literary concepts and vocabulary that enable them to understand and discuss, on a deeper level, the novels and poems we read in class. This guide is a reference tool that students are able to use during their assignments and in class discussions. They use it most heavily during their "End-of-Book Assignment."
